The most important tourism exhibition ‘duo’ of the country, Philoxenia - Hotelia, held from 9 to 11 November at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, was marked by a 16% increase in visitor numbers and a particularly boosted interest by tourism professionals, as there was a 36% increase in the number of trade visitors over last year.

With a considerable increase of over 70% in the number of trade visitors compared to last year’s event, the 33rd ‘KOSMIMA’ International Exhibition for Jewellery, Clocks and Watches, Precious Stones, Machinery and Equipment ended on 22 October.

This year’s KOSMIMA, where Greek creations will hold a special place, will feature glamorous items and all the latest international trends of the jewellery sector.

With internationally renowned sculptor Takis as the honoured artist and major galleries from Greece and abroad participating, the 3rd Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair is preparing to open its doors to the public.

The 83rd TIF experienced its very own “American dream”, raising the bar even higher this year as it succeeded in attracting 283,853 visitors, as compared to 263,724 last year. People of all ages embraced the Fair enthusiastically, turning it into the largest of the last 20 years.

Business giants with a leading role in the global market, such as Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Google and Cisco, were drawn by the 83rd TIF, in the framework of this year’s participation of the USA as the Honoured Country.

The home and office furniture market expresses all its current trends and prospects at the Furnidec Business exhibition, which will be held at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre from 9 to 11 March.

Crowds of people rushed to get a taste of Detrop Boutique and Artozyma during the three days on which they were held (24-26 February) at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, where food and beverage businesses, confectioners and bakers from all over Greece made their presence felt with their products and concoctions, impressing audiences.

The curtain fell on Infacoma & Aquatherm Athens 2018 with 24,500 trade visitors from 18 countries, 630 business meetings between Greek exhibitors and representatives from nine countries, as well as 230 exhibitors, thus exceeding all targets that had been set.

The 27th Agrotica, which welcomed 143,754 visitors during its four days of operation, a 16.2% increase over the 2016 event, exceeded every expectation.

This year’s Agrotica, which opens on 1 February and will last until 4 February, seems to be turning into a record-breaking fair. The fair is a truly sold-out event, as the entirety of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre is being utilised for its needs.

The 27th Agrotica boasts a 30% increase in exhibition participations, thousands of buyers from Greece, the Balkans and Europe, who will cross its “threshold”, and a rich programme of side events, congresses and colloquiums.

With an international character and featuring 300 artists from 30 galleries, representing 10 countries, the 2nd Art Thessaloniki Fair will welcome visitors at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre from 23 to 26 November 2017.

Greece can become a destination and entry gate for Asian travellers, provided it works in a continuous, consistent and methodical manner over the next 3 to 5 years.
