The HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR, held at the Metropolitan Expo

The HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR, held at the Metropolitan Expo exhibition centre in Athens, ended on 24 February with an increased number of visitors compared to last year’s event.

HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR received a total of 3,107 trade visitors and professionals from Greece and abroad, as compared to 2,850 during last year’s event, which had been organised by TIF-HELEXPO in Attica for the first time.

There was a noteworthy 30% increase in the number of unaccompanied trade visitors, who came to 2,451, as compared to 1,873 at last year’s event.

This performance is all the more significant when taking into account the fact that this year’s event lasted three days, as compared to four days last year.

International visitors came from Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Germany, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Russia, Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands and Great Britain, while domestic visitors represented almost all geographical regions of Greece.

There were 325 exhibitors in total, as compared to 291 last year, while the presence of all important domestic jewellers was outstanding.

The 2014 HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR covered 5,314 m2 of exhibition space, as compared to 4,393m2 at last year’s event.

According to the analysis of visitor statistics, almost all professionals of the jewellery sector, such as jewellery store owners, silver- and goldsmiths, jewellers, representatives, importers and tradespersons, were represented at HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR .

HELLENIC JEWELLERY FAIR and KOSMIMA, recently held for the 28th time at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, comprise a dynamic duo of exhibitions that aim at contributing to the opening of new markets for Greek jewellery and the creation of new commercial partnerships.

The organisation of the event, with the contribution of POVAKO, the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Silver- and Goldsmiths, Jewellers and Watchmakers, is a reference point for professionals who wish to get informed on the latest trends in jewellery, clocks and watches, as well as technological developments in the sector.

The next jewellery event will be the 29th KOSMIMA International Exhibition for Jewellery, Clocks and Watches, Precious Stones, Machinery and Equipment and will be held at Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre from 18 to 20 October 2014.
