The countdown has started for the dynamic return of Detrop & Oenos on 18-20 February 2023 The Golden Olive Expo, the Food Experts’ Awards and the Olive Oil Trophy and Table Olives Trophy are bringing with them an air of renewal

Renewed and with increased momentum, having listened carefully to the needs and trends of the food and beverage industry, Detrop & Oenos are back; two reliable exhibition brand names with a long-standing and successful course in the sector. From 18 to 20 February 2023, domestic and international producers will find a highly recognised platform on which to promote their products, as well as an opportunity to develop their export activities via a targeted hosted buyers programme. In fact, the two exhibitions are expected to be attended by leading importers and professionals from a number of countries, while a wealth of side events, colloquiums, and competitions will highlight the dynamism of Greek and international products.

More specifically, the “homage” to olives and olive oil will be held for the first time at the Golden Olive Expo, international innovation and excellence awards will be announced at the Food Experts’ Awards, while International Olive and Olive Oil Competitions will be held: the Olive Oil Trophy and the Table Olives Trophy.

Golden Olive Expo is a targeted event dedicated to olives and olive oil varieties, to be presented at Detrop for the first time, with the aim of developing into a powerful tool for openness among domestic olive producers. Its purpose is to highlight the high quality and various health benefits of olives and olive oil, from cultivation, production, and processing,

to standardisation and promotion, both on the domestic and the international markets.

This dedicated event will include a specially designed exhibition unit for the promotion of sector products, as well as a tasting and networking space in which Greek and international buyers will have the opportunity to try olive and olive oil varieties in a B2B environment, and also become acquainted with the production process and all the products participating in the Olive Trophies. Furthermore, there will be a central stage on which colloquiums and presentations relevant to this specially dedicated event will be held.

The winners of the Food Experts’ Awards 2023 — the international innovation and excellence awards of the food and beverage sector organised by Cibum, the Greek food expert site — will be announced at a special ceremony to be held on 18 February in the framework of Detrop. Independent food sector professionals assess the nominees, aiming to encourage and reward hard and innovative work.

The ‘Olive Oil Trophy’ International Quality Competition for exceptional olive oils and the ‘Table Olives Trophy’ International Quality Table Olive Competition will also be held at the same time, in which Detrop 2023 exhibitors and sector enterprises from Greece and abroad are eligible to participate.

The side events also include Detrop Bites — where exhibitor products will be presented through ideal delicacy combinations, created live by the chef-partner team — and the Pairing Bar, where Oenos wines will be paired with Detrop exhibitor foods, for a unique tasting experience.

The 1st Circular Economy International Expo, FORWARD GREEN, to be held from 31 March to 2 April 2023 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre

Circular economy, “clean energy”, sustainable development, and protection of the environment. These are the priorities of the new exhibition and conference initiative of TIF-Helexpo, FORWARD GREEN (FG-Expo), that will be held from 31 March to 2 April 2023 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre.

The 1st Circular Economy International Expo, FORWARD GREEN, is addressed to companies, agencies, and organisations that are adopting modern practices for the utilisation of raw materials, construction materials, technologies, energy, recycling, and packaging, which, through innovative solutions and smart partnerships, will have a positive impact on the reduction of environmental pollution and increase the life cycle of products and services, while also creating new business opportunities.

This new approach to the economy concerns a number of processes that require circular planning, which begins with the use of the raw materials and leads all the way to production, distribution, consumption, and the recycling of products, so that less waste ends up in the environment.

Energy saving systems, bioclimatic design, Renewable Energy Sources, recycling and waste management, modern construction materials, water treatment, product design, electric vehicles, local authorities, etc. are on the menu at FORWARD GREEN.

The expo includes a number of side events, including the Conference on circular economy and the 2nd Circular Economy Festival of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Thess Clean – Thess Green, with the organisational support of TIF-Helexpo.
