SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT / ESG
As part of our strategic plan for a sustainable future, we are charting our course by implementing ESG practices to adopt 17 goals, known as the 'Sustainable Development Goals,' which were established after the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015.
Each year, following discussions with the sole shareholder of our company, the HCAP (Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations), ESG goals are set for implementation to achieve these targets. Quarterly, progress reports are issued. We are also committed to the general principles of the UN Global Compact (April 2024), which is the largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative.
First on the list for implementing this plan is the redevelopment of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center and the modernization of the company's services with new digital technologies. The redevelopment of the exhibition center is a major development project not only for the city but also for the wider region, to be implemented under bioclimatic conditions in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
